Few science-fiction novels grapple with sin and redemption, even though history keeps placing those themes at the heart of the human story. Instead, many linger on exhaustive world-building—pages upon pages that often swell past 80,000 words. However impressive, that kind of exposition leaves me cold. Those worlds rarely feel lived-in.
It’s why I wrote this book, an atypical sci-fi piece that focuses on humanity—its failings and its hope for redemption—rather than hard science.
The exploration is complex. At times, I feared I’d overreached. I’m keen to hear how the work lands with readers.
Note: I didn’t expect this book to win the 2026 Christian Book Excellence Award, and reading such a detailed and encouraging review (shown below) leaves me deeply humbled. Above all, my prayer is that God will use this work to touch lives and draw seekers into a deeper relationship with Him.
